Maryland Law provides loans to Feds during Shutdowns

The Governor of Maryland has signed the Federal Shutdown Paycheck Protection Act.  

The Act establishes a loan fund for essential federal employees during a shutdown.  The Federal Government Shutdown Employee Assistance Loan Fund to provide no-interest loans to essential federal workers (those that must work during a shutdown)during a federal government shutdown. 

The Federal Physician Association has contacted a member of the Virginia House to lobby for similar legislation in Virginia.
